On Wednesday 15th November from 6pm to 9pm Chris Herbert from the Diocesan Safeguarding team is coming to Holy Trinity Finningley to undertake C1 training. It is some years since the last Safeguarding training and things have changed. In the current climate of accountability it would be helpful if as many people as possible could attend this training. This is important to everyone not only those working with our children and young people. Please let me know if you intend to come to this event.

We are going to be joining with St Oswald,s school again this year in the Shoe Box Appeal. We will get some boxes from the organisation but could people please keep any shoe boxes over the next couple of months. If the response is as good as last year we will need extra boxes. I will be coordinating this again this year.

We will be giving the churchyard its annual “cut” during the week commencing Tuesday 29th August with the communal working day on Saturday 2nd September from 10am. Please put the date in your diary and come along, burn off a few calories and have some fun as you help to prepare our churchyard for its winter rest. All help welcome including coffee (or lunch?) makers and prayers for good weather for that week. If you can help in the days before the Saturday working day please let Tricia know.
